Rear Subframe Bracket Inserts – Porsche 718 / 982 GT4 (and compatible models)
We identified a recurring issue on the 718 GT4 — and likely across other 982 Cayman and 911 platforms — involving the rear subframe bracket inserts. These small but critical pieces support the control arm adjustment bolts for rear toe and camber alignment.
On several GT4s, especially those seeing track use, we’ve seen the factory inserts crack or break off entirely. Unfortunately, Porsche only sells these as part of the entire rear subframe bracket assembly — a costly replacement at roughly $1,300–$1,400 per side.
To solve this, we reverse-engineered the OEM design and developed a high-strength billet aluminum replacement insert. CNC-machined from 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum, these upgraded inserts feature subtle reinforcement in key stress areas, offering 50–75% greater strength than stock.
Each car uses four inserts total (two per side). We recommend replacing all four to prevent future failures — especially if your car sees regular alignment adjustments or track time.
