HBi Parts Direct – Return Policy

Returns window

We have a 30‑day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • In the same condition that you received it
  • Uninstalled / unused, with all original packaging, hardware, and documentation
  • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase

Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.


Who pays return shipping

Unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, damaged in transit, etc.), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

If your original order qualified for “free shipping,” and you return items that bring the net order below the free‑shipping threshold, we may deduct our original shipping cost from your refund.


Restocking fee

On approved, non‑defective returns (wrong part ordered, changed mind, etc.), a 15% restocking fee may be deducted from your refund to cover inspection, repackaging, and re‑stocking.

We do not charge a restocking fee if the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, damaged in transit, etc.).


Damages and issues

Please inspect your order when it arrives and contact us immediately at parts@hbipartsdirect.com if:

  • The item is damaged
  • You received the wrong item
  • Something is missing from the shipment

We’ll evaluate the issue and make it right.


Non‑returnable items

Because of how parts are used and installed, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Any part that has been installed, modified, or damaged
  • Electrical / electronic components (ECUs, sensors, lighting, etc.)
  • Special‑order or custom parts (including items ordered specifically for your VIN)
  • Clearance / “final sale” items
  • Gift cards

If you’re unsure whether an item is returnable, email us before you order or before you attempt a return.


Exchanges

The fastest way to get the correct part is to return the item you have (if eligible), and once the return is accepted, place a new order for the correct part.

If the wrong item was shipped due to our error, we’ll cover the cost to get you the right part.


Refunds

We’ll notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund is approved. If approved, we’ll refund your original payment method within 10 business days.

Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return and you haven’t seen the refund, contact us at parts@hbipartsdirect.com.
