It was a must for us that the mating flanges and clamping surfaces be fully machined to ensure a perfect seal. That entails not only casting the piece itself but designing and building a fixture for precision final machining. Early development revealed the presence of resonance\/drone between 3400-4000 RPM, prompting the addition of tailored Helmholtz resonators to help smooth out these undesirable frequencies while maximizing the driving experience.
