The SOUL Resonated Muffler Bypass Exhaust forgoes the factory mufflers for a clamp on, 2.5″ straight pipe design with the addition of race resonators to minimize drone. The straight through design of our race resonators encourages maximum power and sound under heavy throttle while cutting down on harsh frequencies that can make their way into the cabin and cause droning on partial throttle and during cruising conditions. This is the ideal solution to pair with an aftermarket downpipe to prevent drone and raspiness. One area they left room for improvement on is the design in which air velocity can be manipulated to increase power. They split the air channels into two runners and placed a duct with a large area in the middle to drive the air flow into two chambers in the airbox. Because of this, they only put two filter surface areas to bring air in. They then used CFD analysis to optimize the design of the air filter media. Advanced simulation software showed that a bell-horn like design would both maximize filter surface area and most efficiently distribute air flow around the filter which provides 360 degrees of material compared to just 180 degrees on the OEM filter.
